Welcome to 2026, if somewhat belatedly. Before we get into the new stuff, a quick wrap-up of 2025. in summary, the two stories submitted to the Scarlet Stiletto competition both scored: one, titled Here for You, received a commendation, and the other, The Ghost Detective, won the runner-up prize in the ‘Body in the Library’ category. That latter story, as well as all the other winning stories, is published in this year’s Scarlet Stiletto collection. The publisher is Clan Destine Press, and the link to that collection, and all the other Stiletto anthologies, is here.
As if that wasn’t enough, my second novel, Shadow City, was shortlisted for both the Ned Kelly and Danger Awards. It didn’t win either, but competition was fierce and I was delighted to be part of a shortlist in great company.
So onwards to this year. Finding the Bones will be in bookstores from 3 March, and I’m gearing up for the launch, which will be on 13 March at Gleebooks in Sydney. I’ll post separately about that.
One of my resolutions for 2026 is to post more often. Let’s see if I keep it up!
