I’m just back from a month in South Africa, where Penguin Random House launched Present Tense. I was lucky enough to take in two literary festivals – Franschhoek in the Cape and Kingsmead in Johannesburg – and launch Present Tense with one of my literary heroes, Mike Nicol. I also rubbed shoulders with a raft of wonderful writers, readers and friends. Thank you to Penguin and to Frieda le Roux in particular.
